Product Description

A stent pusher is a thin, flexible tube or catheter with a special tip designed to hold and push a stent into place. It is used in various medical procedures, including angioplasty (opening blocked arteries), biliary stenting (clearing blocked bile ducts), and ureteral stenting (clearing blocked ureters). The procedure involves using a specialized device, the stent pusher, to guide and deploy a stent — a small, expandable tube — into a narrowed or blocked area, such as a blood vessel, bile duct, or ureter, to restore proper flow.

This medical device is used to drain obstructed biliary ducts. The Biliary Plastic Stent Introducer Set features a radiopaque 10F guiding catheter, a Polypropylene 6Fr pusher, and a smooth surface that helps it glide smoothly over the guidewire. The Biliary Plastic Stent is intended for single use only, and the set is used for the endoscopic placement of a preloaded biliary stent to drain the blockage of biliary ducts.

This biliary stenting system delivers enhanced stent insertion and easier deployment along with an array of stents offering optimal flexibility and an improved design. With a much wider range of stent shapes, lengths, and diameters, clinicians can choose a stent configuration that precisely meets their biliary duct stenting requirements.

Key Features

  • Radiopaque Catheter — 10F guiding catheter for clear visibility during placement.
  • Polypropylene Pusher — smooth 6Fr pusher catheter for controlled stent deployment.
  • Smooth Glide Surface — glides easily over the guidewire, reducing procedural friction.
  • Wide Stent Configuration Range — supports a broad array of stent shapes, lengths, and diameters.
  • Preloaded Stent Design — ready for endoscopic placement of a preloaded biliary stent.
  • Sterile, Single-Use — supplied ready-to-use for one procedure only.

Applications

  • Biliary Duct Stenting
  • Drainage of Obstructed Biliary Ducts

The radiopaque markers make positioning easy to confirm under fluoroscopy. Would appreciate a wider stent-size range in stock, but overall very satisfied with the quality.
